The Power to Leverage the Growing Internet Infrastructure
- Access Your Plant Anywhere
- The system is web-based so the physical location of the user is irrelevant. This allows pooling of production personnel and 24/7 database access from anywhere you have an Internet connection. If you choose to offer plant access to clients and customers, setting up subscriptions takes just minutes. Outside user permissions are easy to set up and limit as well.
- No Software Maintenance
-
- The user software is deployed and maintained from application servers. There is no need for IT staff to install and manage client-side executable or to make any network configuration changes.
- The client software is designed to have zero-support from the perspective of corporate IT.
- Selection of hardware and software that comprises PropertySync is not tied to a particular vendor or hardware architecture. This includes the relational databases, file system storage, application server hardware, application server operating systems, application server software, and client operating systems. Several options are available at every layer in the stack and there currently exists at least one free/open-source option at each layer.
- Runs On All Operating Systems
- PropertySync runs on Windows, Apple, Linux, and any other operating system loaded with Java Runtime Environment 6 (which is free, and takes about 2 minutes to download and install). It can be deployed in a virtualization environment as well, such as Terminal Services or Citrix, with no additional administration or configuration.
- Integral Workflow Advantages:
Best of the Web + Best of the Desktop - PropertySync is delivered via Java Web Start technology, giving you all the convenience and accessibility of a browser-based software application (thin-client) with a full-featured desktop application (fat client) to maximize user productivity. You'll suffer no browser-based printing issues, key mappings, slow user interface speed, endless page refresh, or browser incompatibility ... the best of both worlds.
- Set-Up Outside Plant Subscribers Instantly
- PropertySync's architecture is naturally perfect for plant publishing and/or subscription-based user accounts. Assign client logins within minutes. And setting limitations on these outside user logins is easy. We'll soon be adding POS (point of sale) functionality as well, which will give you the option of publishing plants and receiving credit card payments through your site for cost-per-click, cost-per-view, or cost-per-page plant revenue stream.
What's Under the Hood?
- Server/Repository Technology
- The PropertySync design incorporates clusters of Java J2EE application servers positioned behind the traffic load balancers. Application server nodes interact with the relational databases, file systems, and other sources of data. File system storage is currently being implemented on an EMC storage system, although this is not a requirement.
- Communications Security
- All communication between the client application and the server clusters are encrypted via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) using signed certificates. Transport layer security implemented with SSL ensures that data transmitted across the Internet is encrypted and secure.
- Java Web Start Technology
- PropertySync is delivered via Java Web Start technology. In a Microsoft Windows environment, a Windows executable is provided that initiates the Web Start loading process, making the function of the program indistinguishable from other Windows applications. All functions of the client are incorporated into a single deliverable, which means no workstation software dependency issues.
Simple. Powerful. Affordable. Integrated.
PropertySyncTM is a flexible and scalable title plant system that leverages today's infrastructure as you transition to future requirements. PropertySync can be implemented in different configurations based upon your business needs, with Kimmel Corp keying data on a go-forward basis or with your staff keying. No hardware acquisition or third-party software licensing is necessary, making PropertySync a rapidly deployable, affordable title plant solution.
Features
- Dynamic data import
- Versatile index module for posting
- Powerful search module for title plant and assessor data
- View images of records, documents, and maps in the same application
- Cross reference and display GIS data
- Print documents or aggregate digital images into PDFs for e-mailing
- Integrates with many third-party escrow systems (contact us to determine availability for your preferred escrow system)
Additional Features
- Baseviewer API: The PropertySync Baseviewer API provides lookup functionality to third-party escrow/title systems. Users can observe a reference to base documents such as policies and title commitments and view them in the PropertySync client application.
- Robosearch: Parcels can be searched using the robosearch function. Robosearch quickly identifies ownership, outstanding liens, and other useful information of relevance to an examiner. This information is listed on a cover sheet and all documents, maps, and search results follow. Deeds, liens, bases from escrow systems, assessor information, sectional and subdivision maps comprise the content of one easy to view PDF document. The individual searches can be manually examined if needed.
- Interactive Maps: Parcels can be viewed in map form using GIS data and information about each parcel is displayed by floating the cursor over them. Individual parcels can be searched simply by clicking on them.
- Electronic Recording: PropertySync will be implementing electronic recording services as part of the PropertySync client application. Users will be able to upload and record scanned documents from their existing application no matter where they are.
- Customer Services: PropertySync will have a full-featured customer service package incorporated into the client application, including parcel farming and property profiles. MLS data, school system, comparable sales, utilities, demographics and tax data are but some of the information points that will be included in the deliverable.
- Reconveyance Monitoring Services: PropertySync users will be able to select parcels for reconveyance monitoring in the PropertySync application. Management will be able to run reports indicating which parcels are delinquent in having releases filed. Additionally, PropertySync customers will have the ability to outsource reconveyance compliance tasks and mailings to Kimmel Corp.
